It’s tomato time! Come celebrate summer’s shining star in all its glorious forms. EFM’s produce vendors will be bursting with tomatoes – heirlooms, beefsteak, grape and other varieties throughout the market. And don’t forget to order up some fried green tomatoes, get some freshly made salsa, and stock up on tomato sauce and ketchup all made with local tomatoes. Taste test your way through a table of farm-fresh heirlooms, savor their subtle nuances and chat with the Penn State Master Gardeners about the many varieties of tomatoes grown in the Lehigh Valley. Watch Chef Giovanni Avilla of 1774 Grille & Tap demonstrate how to make a mouth-watering heirloom tomato bruschetta and visit Weyerbacher Brewing Co. at the Local Libations Tent. Listen to market favorite Chuck Schubert in the Music Tent from 10 am to 12 noon and bring the kids to see the Yippee Skippy Puppet Show from 9:30 to 10:30 am. There’s something for everyone, so don’t miss out on this fun and delicious tomato event!
EFM’s Maker Space is open to local artists and crafters. If you are interested in selling at the Easton Farmers’ Market on select market dates during the fall and holiday season, complete and submit an application for review – click here to apply
