Happy Spring, market lovers! It’s a relief to finally be able to say that, and feel it.
What better way to welcome the new season than at the market, where fresh and local is always on the table. Think fresh arugula, lemon chive dill sausage, wild-caught salmon, rye sourdough, microgreens, edible flowers, and crisp apples.
As we start to dive in to a new season of growth and abundance, awaiting the first sprouts to emerge from the ground, we need to continue to step up and support local as much as possible to show that the fabric of resilience is woven by our own community. What the market community says week after week, year after year is: We support fresh food, water, air, and our overall health by supporting the good we see in each other and the things we grow and create. As we dream of warmer days, let the market be a reminder of all that is good in the here and now! It helps that it’s a great place to tantalize your tastebuds.
PLUS this Saturday, come listen to Josh Parr, Farm Manager at LaFarm discuss the nutritional benefit of veggies – 11:30am-11:50am in the Easton Public Market kitchen! And hey, come pick up a few seeds from our Free Seed cart while you’re at the market! It’s time to plant peas and get any hardy crops in the ground.
