Spring Is Here!

Spring Is Here!

The Spring equinox signals a shift into a new growing season, and as a farmers’ market, we’re thrilled to be seeing the first signs of this seasonal shift! We can almost taste fresh strawberries, rhubarb, and asparagus. Garlic that’s been dormant over the winter is making it’s seedling appearance above ground as the days grow longer. Greenhouses are living up to their namesake with the promise of emerging seedlings. Join us this Saturday to enjoy the fresh, Spring air of America’s Oldest Open-Air Farmers’ Market!

Another very full house on Northampton St. this week with two new-to-the-winter-market vendors! You might already be familiar with Blue Sun Growers from our regular season market last year. We are so thrilled to have Billy and his selection of unique spice and herb blends, all grown on his plot at The Seed Farm in Vera Cruz! We will also have a carnivorous vendor: Tucker’s Pond and Predatory Plants! “FEEEEED ME, SEYMOUR!” And your curiosity.
