This past week we’ve taken time to reflect on all of the ways farmers’ markets play a vital role in our food system: by invigorating our local economy, preserving farmland, and encouraging creativity, seasonality, and community connection. #NationalFamersMarketWeek is a time to celebrate the ways farmers’ markets create gathering places filled with local art, music, drink, and food. We keep a vital piece of our local culture alive through the farmers’ market by celebrating Easton’s roots. It also happens to be a delicious way to spend time with others, ideally sparking some creativity in the kitchen or on the grill. We’re especially thrilled to see the addition of fresh cantaloupe, pears, beans, new potatoes, and summer blooms at the market this week. There are bursts of color no matter where you look this Saturday! Help us celebrate the end of farmers’ market week by showing up, picnic blanket at the ready, for another perfect summer day!
If you have dull blades, be informed that Allerton Creek Farm and Sharpening will not be returning to the market until September!
Absent This Week: Aladdin, Allerton Creek Farm and Sharpening, Presley’s Cocktail, K&S Grille.
