E-Update August 8, 2020
It’s National Farmers’ Market Week – a time to talk about the importance of markets, and why you should shop them. They’ve even been deemed ‘essential’ by the government. But you know what’s really essential? Our volunteers.

We say it all the time, “we couldn’t do it without them.” But never has that been more true than this year. Our volunteer needs have doubled at the new location – due to the large expanse, multiple entry gates and the Covid-19 safety precautions. Since May 2nd, 32 volunteers have contributed 504 hours of service. They show up week after week, undaunted by the extreme heat, demanding physical work, sometimes difficult customer interactions, and the pervasive stress of the pandemic.

In this season wrought with so many challenges we cannot think of anyone more integral to the success and sustainability of the Easton Farmers’ Market than our volunteers.
