June is a great month to celebrate all the movers, shakers, role models, and pioneers: from Juneteenth Celebrations to Pride Month to Father’s Day! Farmers’ markets are wonderful gathering places for our communities to be a part of what makes where we live, and who we live with, so vibrant. Take the very-market-specific example of Matt Salvaterra of Salvaterra’s Gardens, Bryan McAtee from Minsi Mountain Flower Farm, and Dean Buttacavoli from Cabbage Throw Farm who are both farmers and father figures, teaching the next generation what it means to live harmoniously with the land. Happy Father’s Day to all our market dads! Extra bonus Dad Points to dads who take their kiddos for face painting and fairy hair at the Creative Canopy with Truly Enchanted!
For Juneteenth celebrations, be sure to visit Riverside Park for the Juneteenth LV celebration from 1-7pm with music, culture, and community unity!
We’re excited to welcome back Noelle’s Comfort Kitchen, Wild for Salmon, and The Smokin’ Pasty, and Fleur de Sucre as a handful of our less-than-regular guest vendors! **In exciting news, Tom and Carla of The Smokin’ Pasty are celebrating their 5 Year Anniversary of their delicious business this weekend with a ~surprise~ pasty flavor! Beware: their pasties and personalities are addicting.
Absent: Barley Creek Brewing & Distillery
