Easton Steps Up

Easton Steps Up

What an outpouring of community support this past Saturday! We were truly blown away by the generosity of folks near and far. ProJect of Easton alone accepted 3,000lbs. of food from businesses and non-profits stepping up to the challenge. A special shoutout to our very own market vendors who we saw step up to the challenge:

  • Chiqui Woodworking who raffled off a black walnut coffee table for those who donate to support supplemental SNAP funds
  • Cabbage Throw Farm offered pay-it-forward $10 donations of nutrient-dense root crop bags
  • Scholl Orchards offered shoppers discounted $25 bushels of apples that were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank
  • Eileen from Mia and Maddie’s Bakery arrived with a full wagon full of food donations!

It’s not too late to get a jump-start on your Thanksgiving shopping and planning. Who doesn’t love getting creative for the holiday, especially if it means your table is rich with local flavor? Many of our vendors have items that keep for weeks like frozen soups, salmon, meats, and pot-pies. Don’t forget about pre-orders for sweet pies – just ask Apple Ridge Farm or The Flour Shop for more information! Plus, there are some fabulous gifts to start checking off the list: cutting boards, tinted lip balms, energizing soaps, body butters, treats for the pups, bottles of local wine, and much more!

Absent: Raspberry Ridge Farm
Done for the Season: Twin Maple Farm, K&S Grille, Minsi Mountain Flower Farm, Green Vida Co., The Smokin’ Pasty
