DESCRIPTION:The Valley’s hottest veggie race returns for its 13th year! Get ready to squash the competition in this fun and zany race. Entry fee $7 – includes your choice of zucchini\, wheels & axles\, commemorative racing necklace\, and access to carving tools and accessories with expert assistance from the Zuke 500 Pit Crew. Carving from 9 am – 10:45 am. Race begins at 11:00 am. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest car in each category: Sports Car\, Mid-Size and Monster Truck. Cars may be pre-carved but wheels must be attached directly to zucchini. Each week POP members can participate in a featured activity to earn POP bucks to shop the market for healthy fruits and veggies from EFM vendors. Activities throughout the season will include cooking demos\, crafts\, scavenger hunts and more. This Saturday\, POP members can participate in a ‘berry’ special activity – Strawberry Salsa Sampling! \nOn Strawberry Day\, Smartivities Showcase will offer free face painting\, Merchants Bank will host a Strawberry Patch selfie station and customers can also ‘Pick-a-Berry Special’ at the EFM Merchandise Tent. \nThe market will feature live music by Bob Keel (10 a.m. to noon)\, and Weyerbacher Brewing and Social Still will be featured in the Local Libations tent. DESCRIPTION:It’s HOT-HOT-HOT!  Can you take the heat?  Join other fire-eaters at EFM’s infamous “10 Deadly Peppers” Hot Pepper Eating Competition to test how hot you can go!  The competition features 10 hot peppers as you stay in the game by consuming the flesh and seeds of the peppers – stems are optional.  Each round increases in heat as the peppers climb the Scoville Scale.  If the competition ends in a tie after Round 10\, the Carolina Reaper (2.2 million SHU) will be the tie-breaker — the hottest pepper known to mankind! \nRegister Here - If You Dare!!
