Get ready for the Valley’s hottest veggie race, featuring Nascar official Peter Brohl at the ready. Children and Adults can enter in one of three zucchini weight classes: Sports Car, Mid-Size and SUV. Entry fee is $5 and includes 1 zucchini, 2 sets of wheels and axels, an official racing necklace and access to carving tools. Prizes will be awarded in each category. Contestants are encouraged to bring their own decorating accessories and detailing items. Two additional prizes will be awarded for "Zaniest Zucchini Car" (most creative) and
"Most Nutritious" - (car that successfully incorporates the most parts created from fresh produce)
Carving Clinic (9am – 10:45am): Volunteers will be on hand to assist.
Race: Begins at 11am Sharp!
Warning: Cars can be pre-made but we caution you that contestants with pre-made cars often found that the wheels did not line-up properly on the track.
