2017 Activities for Kids

MAY

May 6 Kids’ Craft Program – Upcycling half gallon plastic milk jugs into self-watering planters with Forks YMCA Education Center
May 13 – Bike Safety Program
May 20 –
Funk Fest
– Funk Hunt (scavenger hunt)
May 27 – Kids’ Market Stand* – 
Products grown or handmade by kids ages 5 – 12 — let their entrepreneurial spirit grow!! 

JUNE

June 3 – Strawberry Day  – Making strawberry treats with Chef Ada
June 10 – The Worm Lady  Composting How-To’s with worms and more fun; and 
– Kids’ Market Stand* — Products grown or handmade by kids ages 5 – 12 — let their entrepreneurial spirit grow!!
June 17 – Puppet Show – with Rebecca Midgal, puppeteer-in-residence at Bank Street Bookstore, New York City
June 24 – June Bee Jamboree – Honey Bee Tea Party, Bumble Bee Costume Parade (kids encouraged to wear bee costumes and strut their wings around the Centre Square Fountain) and Dancin’ with the Honey Bees and Cliff Sunflower at 11 am

JULY

July 1 – Easton Rocks Project – a fun and funky community art painting project
July 8  – Happy 265th Birthday EFM –  Colonial & Victorian Era children’s games hosted by the Bachmann House and Sigal Museum
July 15 – Kids’ Market Stand* –  Products grown or handmade by kids ages 5 – 12 — let their entrepreneurial spirit grow!!
July 22 – Kids’ Music Program – with Lena, a Kindermusik educator, of Sing N Move
July 29 – 11th Annual Zucchini 500 – Entry fee $5includes your choice of zucchini, wheels & axles, commemorative racing necklace, and access to carving tools and accessories with expert assistance from the Zuke 500 Pit Crew. Carving period 9 am – 10:45 am. Race begins at 11:00 am.

AUGUST

August 19 Yippee Skippy Puppet Show – with Rebecca Midgal, puppeteer-in-residence at Bank Street Bookstore, New York City – starting at 9:30 am
August 26Kids’ Music Program – with Lena, a Kindermusik educator, of Sing N Move – starting at 9:30 am

SEPTEMBER

September 23 – Storybook Hour – with Rebecca Midgal, of Book & Puppet Co. bookstore, Easton – starting at 10 am
