  Composting Day(June 19th)
 
 

 
 

Learn the Ins and Outs of Successful Composting through lectures and demos offered by Penn State Master Gardeners and the Lafayette College Composting Team. Plus learn how to create your own composter from a simple storage bin! Four composters will be raffled off following the lectures. Got Worms? Carmen Pirotte, an environmental educator, will offer children a hands-on opportunity to look at earthworms, discover some things they eat & learn how they live.  Carmen will explain why earthworms are beneficial on an ecological & agricultural level.  Find out how to compost with earthworms & why vermicompost (earthworm-made compost) is good for plants.  Composting Lectures and Workshops: 10am – Noon
