Farmers are a hardy sort – no faint of heart enters this way of life as much of it depends on Mother Nature, and despite all of our modern technologies, no one tells Mother Nature what to do. Case in point is this May, it began unseasonably warm to our delight and then the clouds and rain arrived. This week alone we have experienced rain everyday and almost no sun – something that crops need to thrive. Take a look at this video from Blooming Glen Farm..
To quote a follower on Blooming Glen’s Facebook page, “We are grateful for the hard work and look forward to whatever the earth provides!” We couldn’t have said it better. It might be a rainy day when you are walking the market in the rain, but you are reaping the benefits of a difficult growing season as our EFM farmers carry on and bring us the freshest and healthiest food possible to feed our families. So be sure to say THANK YOU to this hard-working dedicated group of people who meet Mother Nature’s challenges head on!
